Altair Sideral 2007

Price: Around $30

Rating: ★★★★☆

Color: Dark ruby-garnet

Nose: Intense red and black fruit. Lots of spices; sweet and spicy, leather

Taste: Dry, with ripe black fruit with plums and black cherries. Medium acidity and mellow tannins. Notes of vanilla and clove. Smooth and long on the finish.

Summary: Big and juicy with a complex nose. Good fruit on palate and nicely balanced. Expressive and a good deal at this price. This red blend consists of 62% cabernet sauvignon, 16% carmenere, 15% syrah, and 7% cabernet franc.

Product of Chile’s Rapel Valley.
