Color: Light pale yellow
Nose: Citrus and tropical fruit
Taste: Creamy and smooth. Nice fruit flavor. Good balance.
Summary: Yes. It is good to find a Chilean chardonnay that knows how to use oak to better itself. This wine is well balanced in the flavor department. I love the slight use of oak. It warms and rounds out the palate. I really really enjoyed this wine. Not full blown butter and not full blown citrus fruit. Just a really good chardonnay.
According to the wine-maker 30-40% of the fruit spends fermentation in French and American oak. Well that would explain it. Now go out and pick up a few of these.
