Apaltagua 2010 Reserva Carmenere

Apaltagua Reserva 2010 Carmenere

Price: Around $11

Rating: ★★★½☆

Color: Deep ruby-purple

Nose: Pretty cherry and vanilla scented nose with a little smoke

Taste: Nice sweet black fruit upfront. Mild tannins with a controlled acidity and some spice.

Summary: Its Carmenere week at Chilean-Wine.com.  We start off with a versatile red here.  A good accompaniment to pastas, spicy Asian or Indian food. Meat or chicken dishes will also pair well here. Nice price point for what you’re getting.

Product of Chile’s Cochagua valley.
