Apaltagua 2011 Rose Carmenere

Rating: ★★★½☆

Color: Pale pink

Nose: Strawberries and orange blossom flowers

Taste: Dry, light with crisp acidity. Red fruit on the palate with a clean finish.

Summary: It’s 80 degrees here in Los Angeles CA and I’m savoring this chilled rose on my rooftop. This rose made from Carmenere, makes for great outdoor sipping.  Enjoy with cheeses or light seafood fare.

Product of Chile’s Central Valley.

To a large extent this can be considered as a ‘table wine’ from Chile – Central Valley fruit produced in volume and sold at an inexpensive price. Vibrancy all round with upfront raspberry tinged fruit.
