Color: Deep Ruby Red
Nose: Dark cholate and brandied cherries
Taste: Based on the nose, I was expecting to put a liquor filled chocolate bon-bon in my mouth. Â And it wasn’t. Â But it was good. Â Fruity with good balance. Â Full bodied and dense. Â Mouth filling with well defined tannins. Â Smooth finish.
Summary: Hearty. Â This is big tasting Carmenere. Â Good accompaniment to beef dishes. Â Though I had it with a tuna casserole and it was great, so it likes pastas too! Â Very good value here.
Interesting play on the Carmenere name. Â When will somebody come up with a Karma-Chameleon Carmenere?
