Carmen 2007 Carmenere

September 2, 2010

Price: Around $7

Color: Deep Red-Violet

Nose: Blackberries, rhubarb, and cherries

Taste: Dense and peppery.  Dark chocolate flavors. Soft on the pallate.

Summary: Nothing too spectacular going on here for the money, but its pleasant tasting and fairly balanced.  Serve along with cheeses, spicy dishes, and always good along pastas or pizzas.

This wine originates from Chile’s Rapel Valley.
