Color: Dark red-violet
Nose: Red berries, cherries and toast
Taste: Medium bodied and very round in mouth. Velvety smooth all the way through to the finish. Nice acidity with soft tannins.
Summary: This was among my two favorite Chilean red blends that I tasted at the recent Wines of Chile blogger tasting event. I was pleasantly surprised by its smooth and mellow manner. Its a very nice and heavy bottle, a suitable receptacle for its content. Nicely refined in all aspects. Pass the Grey Poupon please!
The blend consists of 61% Syrah, 26% Merlot, and 13% Pinot Noir. Originates from Chile’s Casablanca valley.
