Colchagua Valley Wine Tour

The Colchagua Valley, located 200 km (125 miles) south of Santiago, is considered the home of the Chilean “huaso,” or cowboy. The region tends to produce more red wines than white.

A major cultural development has taken place in recent years with the expansion of gastronomic and artistic activities.
The town of Santa Cruz, in the heart of the region, is home to a typical harvest festival every year, as well as a local gastronomic fair with wine tastings and a wide variety of traditional activities.

Winery visits include: Viu Manent, Montes, Casa Lapostolle, Mont Gras, Bisquertt, Casa Silva, and others.

COLCHAGUA VALLEY – (CODE 11)

Program includes: Private air-conditioned transportation with driver, bi-lingual guide (Spanish-English), lunch, wine tastings at Viña Montes and Viña Viu Manent.

08:00 am: Departure from hotel in Santiago.
10:30 am: Tour and wine tasting of 3 wines at Viña Viu Manent, where you can stroll through the vineyards in a vintage car pulled by horses.
1:00 pm: Lunch with wine at the Santa Cruz Plaza Hotel.
3:00 pm: Tour and wine tasting of 2 wines at Viña Montes. Tasting takes place at he top of a hill where you can appreciate the panoramic view of the valley and The Andes mountains.
8:00 pm: Arrival at hotel in Santiago.

Duration: 12 hours.

COLCHAGUA VALLEY – (CODE 12)

Program includes: Private air-conditioned transportation with driver, bi-lingual guide (Spanish-English), accommodations at the Santa Cruz Plaza Hotel (4 star), including buffet breakfast, 2 lunches; winery visits and wine tastings at Viña Viu Manent and Viña Montes, visit to the Colchagua Museum and restaurant tips.

1st day:
9:00 am: Departure from hotel in Santiago
12:00 pm: Tour and wine tasting of 3 wines at Viña Viu Manent, where you can stroll through the vineyards in a vintage car pulled by horses.
2:00 pm: Lunch with wine at the Santa Cruz Plaza restaurant. Check in Hotel Santa Cruz Plaza.
5:00 pm: Visit to the Colchagua Museum.
7:00 pm: Return to the hotel. Free afternoon. Dinner is not included.

2nd day:
Buffet breakfast
9:30 am: Check out Santa Cruz Plaza Hotel.
10:00 am: Tour and wine tasting of 2 wines at Viña Montes. Tasting takes places at the top of a hill, where you can appreciate the panoramic view of the valley and The Andes mountains.
1:00 pm: Lunch with wine at the typical Chilean restaurant.
6:00 pm: Arrival at hotel in Santiago.

Duration: 2 days.

Hotel Santa Cruz Plaza

COLCHAGUA VALLEY AND WINE TRAIN – (CODE 13)

Program includes: Private transport with air conditioning and chauffeur, bilingual guide (Spanish РEnglish), lodging in Hotel Santa Cruz Plaza (4 stars) with buffet breakfast, ticket on Wine Train with wine tasting, 2 lunches, tour with wine tasting at Vi̱a Viu Manent and Vi̱a Montes vineyards, entrance fee to Colchagua museum and lunch tips.

1st day:
8:00 am: Departure from Hotel in Santiago.
10:00 am: Leave from San Fernando train station towards Santa Cruz on the Wine Train. During the journey the visitors can taste wine and listen to Chilean music.
12:00 pm: Tour and wine tasting of three Viña Viu Manent wines, where you ride through the vineyards in an antique carriage pulled by horses.
2:00 pm: Lunch with wine at Hotel Santa Cruz Plaza or Viña Viu Manent restaurant.
Check in Hotel Santa Cruz Plaza.
5:00 pm: Visit Colchagua museum.
7:00 pm: Free evening.
Dinner on your own.

Montes

2nd day:
Buffet breakfast.
9:30 am: Check out Hotel Santa Cruz Plaza.
10:00 am: Tour and wine tasting at Viña Montes. The wine tasting takes place on top of a hill with a panoramic view of the valley and the Andes mountains.
1:00 pm: Lunch with wine at typical Chilean restaurant.
6:00 pm: Arrival at hotel in Santiago

Program must be confirmed 7 days ahead of time (minimum 4 people). Duration: 2 days.

Program available from Tuesday through Friday, with 48 hours prior confirmation (minimum 2 people).
Duration: 8 hours.
