Color: Deep dark ruby-violet
Nose: Blackberries, red cherries, raspberries, violets, vanilla, and earth
Taste: Dry and medium density. Plums and figs on the palate. Round and lush. Tannins are subtle. Long finish.
Summary: Big wine for a not very big price. Big mix here with six reds blending in and playing nicely together. 41% Syrah, 29% Carmenere, 20% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvingon, 2% Mourvedre, 1% Petit Verdot. You get lots of complexity for under $30 and wine that sips nicely on its own or accompanying a big steak.
Product of Chile’s Colchagua valley.
