Price: Around $16
Color: Deep intense ruby
Nose: Black and red fruit, vegetal with some spice, hint of vanilla and green bell pepper
Taste: Medium body, dry, with still firm tannins.
Summary: Somewhat dissapointing after tasting so many kick ass Carmenere. This wine could benefit from some cellaring time to tame its strong tannins and better integrate itself. Passable at this point but better to wait until after 2012…if the world is still around.
Product of Chile’s Cochagua valley.
