Color: Dark Red-Violet
Nose: Plums and herbs
Taste: Herbaceous all around. Both on the nose and in mouth. Pleasant berry flavors with some tobacco.
Summary: I found it to be a bit tight after letting my glass breathe for half an hour. I would give this wine an additional two years in the bottle before opening. I would go further by decanting it for a good hour. This wine needs it. If you follow these instructions you’ll have a pleasant and silkier experience all around.
The blend consists of 57% Carmenere, 23% Sauvignon Cabernet, 12% Cabernet Franc, and 8% Petit Verdot. Originates from Chile’s Colchagua valley.
