Price: Around $45
Rating:

Color: Deep ruby
Nose: Intense black fruit; blackberries, black cherries, blueberries, violets, black pepper, dried fruit, wet leaves and earthy
Taste: Very dry with pleasant tannin structure. All the black fruit on the nose is present on the palate, plus hits of dark chocolate, and sweet spices. Finish is long and divine.
Summary: This very earthy Carignan has quite the complex nose and a palate that matches. Big enough to accompany most meat dishes and subtle enough to enjoy on its own. At $15 its quite the bargain.
