Santa Ema Reserve 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon

January 17, 2012

Santa Ema 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon

Price: Around $10

Rating: ★★★½☆

Color: Deep Ruby

Nose: Blackberries, cherries, spice with a little smoke and earth

Taste: Dry and medium plus body. Blackberries and plums on the palate. Detect a little stewed fruit..nice. Long finish.

Summary: A nice little cab for a nice little price. I swear, when I checked out the nose on this wine before looking at the label, I said to myself “this is gotta be Maipo valley”. I was right. After you’ve tasted enough Chilean cabs, the ones from the Maipo valley come infused with that Maipo nose.

Product of Chile’s Maipo valley.
