Santa Rita Reserva 2007 Sauvignon Blanc

by Boris at Chilean-Wine.com on April 10, 2009

Price: $10

Color: Pale yellow with greenish hue

Nose: Fresh citrus fruit and tinge of banana.

Taste: Crisp freshness. Nice acidic tang with a smooth finish.

Summary: I had the pleasure of tasting this wine along with a very spicy Asian noodle dish.  What really stood out for me on this Sauvignon Blanc was how buttery it felt.  This is a word I may use when describing a good Chardonnay but not usually a Sauvignon Blanc.  And definitely not at $10.  One of the best $10 Sauvignon Blancs out there at the moment.
