Color: Greenish – pale yellow
Nose: Grassy with tropical fruit
Taste: Medium bodied. Good citrus flavor. Juicy and crisp.
Summary: Its starting to feel like summer here in southern California and I’ve been having a blast with several Chilean sauvignon blancs. I tasted two this past weekend that were superb. The Aliwen I brought back from Chile and its a great value. I’m not sure where to pick it up in the US but if you see it for less than $10, don’t hesitate. Its a great crispy sauvignon blanc that goes great with cheeses and other appetizers.
By the way, if you’ve recently tasted a Chilean wine, I’d love to know your thoughts on it. Good, bad, or indifferent, its great information to have! Share your thoughts here.

I found this wine in a store in St Kitts in the West Indies. I agree with your comments about it and we find it very pleasant to drink. We bought it for $9. Don’t make too much noise about it down here otherwise it will sell out! Have you had the 2010 vintage yet?
